I needed a bit of “me time” this month after a busy and intense summer. Jade at Jade's Beauty Room gave me a massage and rid me of many knots and left me feeling so relaxed. Then I had a lovely pedicure and my nails painted by Corran Nails & Makeup. This was courtesy of a very special person who wanted to encourage my achievements. All nice and relaxed, it was time to jet off on a well-deserved holiday to Lanzarote where I felt energised and able to go about a lot more than I had been in the past. All-inclusive holidays can be a nightmare for people, but I found I was eating well and having a few drinks everyday. I enjoyed my time and more importantly lost a few pounds.
A few weeks after the holiday I had a fundraising 'Bring a Party to a Party Night '. It was a great night and a brilliant time was has by all. Thanks to Craig at Wave Radio for the tunes, Chantall for the encouragement, moves and best dance prize. The best dressed prize was kindly donated by Rebecca Davidson at The Orchid Room.
EAAC athletes and parents have been very supportive, I have been distributing special water bottles free of charge to drink for dehydration and then to fill with loose change for funds for athletics in Moray. Anyone wishing to help, please ask for a bottle or use one of your own or if it’s easier just pop into Trinity Dental Practice or go on my crowdfunding page to make a donation.
Over the last while, I have been maintaining my weight which to me is a good sign as I am not putting it on. I would prefer to be losing but I will change things around over the Christmas period and see if I can get things moving again. There is a lot of temptation out there at the moment with chocolates, biscuits, cakes being left as thank you gifts; I find the best way is not to think about them, walk away and do something else instead. Keep your hands and mind busy and if all else fails have one small piece and move on.
On a final note, I would like to wish my supporters and readers all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
