Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We are reviewing the Coronavirus situation daily and taking measures within Moray Sports Centre in accordance with advice issued by The World Health organisation (WHO), Public Health England (PHE) and UKactive.

We take the health and safety of all our staff, members and guests extremely seriously at Moray Sports Centre. We have and will continue to remain vigilant to government and governing body updates on the spread of the virus and will keep monitoring the situation.

There is no reason given that anyone should not continue to use our facility as normal at this time, in fact staying fit and healthy is vital in fighting this virus.

How can we all help prevent Coronavirus?

At this stage there is currently no vaccine for COVID-19. Both the World Health Organisation and Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend taking common precautions to prevent respiratory illness, including:

  • Regular hand washing with soap (for at least 20 seconds) or alcohol-based solution. All MSC staff are encouraged to set the example in this practice.

  • Covering coughing or sneezing with a tissue or elbow.

  • Wash hands straight after sneezing.

  • Avoiding touching of eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Limiting contact with people who are sick, and staying home if you are sick.

  • The CDC also recommends cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects.
