In September 2016, we signed up to support the Career Ready students in Moray.  Working in partnership with Lossiemouth High School, our career ready student joined us in June 2017 and we will continue with the programme once open.

A little bit about Errin

I asked to participate in the Career Ready programme as I believe that this would help me with life after school when applying for jobs.  Working with a mentor will give me an opportunity to achieve a new friend and to have someone to show me the world of work and what to expect.

Having the opportunity to work within an office environment, will give me a great experience and I will be able to challenge my communication skills and problem-solving skills.

After school, I plan on becoming a dental nurse and hope to achieve the qualifications I need at school.  If not I hope to study further at Moray College for a year and then go on to Edinburgh College.

Outside of School

I really enjoy snowboarding! Doing this helps me relax and I get to enjoy the scenery. I also enjoy going to the gym in Elgin, when. I like to keep busy and active.

Most people would describe me as a bubbly kind person, I'm not shy and get on with most people. I like to have a laugh and enjoy being in other people’s company.

I'm really grateful to be accepted into Career Ready and I hope this is a big help for me to gain the qualifications and experience I need.

Errin produced Smoothie Recipes for us while she was on her placement. View her recipes here.
