Developing Workforce

The MSC will bring new opportunities in different sectors to our community.  Developing a workforce from local people will have a positive social impact for Moray.

Our Charity aims to improve employability and opportunities in all areas of sport, health and fitness across Moray.

Our developing workforce will bring opportunities in:

  • Fitness and Class instruction
  • Reception, Administration and Sales
  • Hospitality, Catering and Events
  • Sports Coaching (see Key Sports to learn more about our facilities)
  • Management
  • Grounds and Maintenance, to name a few…

If you are looking to work in the sport, health and exercise sector or any of the opportunities above, there are opportunities to start to study now.  Could you be studying now? Will you be ready to apply to our workforce when the centre is opened?  Contact your local education provider today and find out more about your options.

Some local opportunities are shown below…

Modern Apprentice scheme

MSC will employ a varied workforce with a wide range of skills, ages and expertise.  From modern apprentices, fitness instructors, coaches to managers, chefs and baristas, there are many opportunities.

Our largest investment will be in our team, with approximately £3m in the first 5 years of operating.  With an additional £700k for training and development.

In partnership with a local factoring company and UHI Moray College, we launched our Modern Apprentice scheme for Horticulture September 2015.  It will take two years to complete the qualification and the successful candidates will join us at the sports centre to maintain the Pitches and Grounds.
